[edit] Mask Originally, Mick donned a Jason-style hockey mask, painted a dark pea green type color. This can be seen on the cover of their self titled major label debut, "Slipknot." Shortly after Mick wore a dark silver leather mask comprised of separate pieces bound with metal rivets, with a nose opening cutout and vertical slats for his mouth. For Vol. 3, he switched to a molded latex mask based on the previous design, with some updated features.
[edit] Trivia This article or section does not adequately cite its references or sources. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. (help, get involved!) This article has been tagged since February 2007. He has a fascination with serial killers. His previous job was teaching guitar lessons at Ye Olde Guitar Shop. He hasn't taught since 1999. Before Slipknot wore coveralls, Mick dressed up as Little Bo Peep once. Many fans believe that previous Slipknot member Greg Welts was indeed Mick, just with a different mask, but this has been proven to be untrue. His fellow band mate from Slipknot, James Root, is actually taller than Mick, contrary to what it looks like and what most people think. James is 6'6" and Mick is 6'2". His current Ibanez has the word seven in the fret inlays. It's equipped with EMG 60 and 81 pickups and factory tuned to Mick's preference of drop B tuning. Before leaving B.C. Rich, his guitar had the word HATE on the 2-5 frets. Mick has the word 'seven' tattooed on his left arm, by Matt Kiley in 2001- his number in Slipknot He's the oldest of four. He has two brothers and one sister. He likes cats and has two of his own. He recently toured doing a guitar workshop on his own. He would like to branch out into other genres in the future, such as jazz. In the Voliminal DVD Mick said he is "a big fan of masturbating. It's therapeutic. Keeps the body count low." On Malevolent Creation's tenth full-length album Doomsday X (expected to be released in summer of 2007), Mick plays a guitar solo for the track "Deliver My Enemy."[1]
