- In the constructible strategy game Pirates of Davy Jones' Curse, Jörmungandr is a sea-monster type ship.
- The Jörmungandr appeared in four games of the popular Final Fantasy franchise. In Final Fantasy III, Jormungand appeared as an random enemy encountered in the final dungeon, but is named Yormungand. In Final Fantasy VI he appeared as a Esper/Summon and was named Midgarsgander in the Japanese version, then named Terrato in the US version and later in the GBA re-release, he was renamed again as Midgardsormr. In Final Fantasy VII renamed the Midgar Zolom(a corruption of Miðgarðsormr), and as Jormungand in the MMORPG Final Fantasy XI as a subordinate Wyrm to Bahamut. In Final Fantasy X it can be bred in the monster arena.
- In StarCraft Zerg broods are named after Norse mythology, including Jormungand.
- Boktai 2's final boss is Jorgumandr. In the game Jorgumandr is depicted as an 'Ancestral Piece' and immortal due to being one of the 'backbones' of the universe. It is so gigantic that the battle field for the game's climax is set on the colis of Jorgumandr's serpent body.
