Jack Naylor

In the 1960s, Jack Naylor invented an automotive thermostat that became standard equipment on all cars, worldwide. He went on to become CEO of Thomson International Corp.
With the fortune that earned him, he pursued his personal interest in photography by accumulating the world's largest private collection of cameras and photographs. The 30,000 items, currently housed in his Massachusetts home, includes a wide variety of items from historical spy cameras to photographs by Civil War photographer Mathew Brady. As of November, 2005, the entire collection is for sale with the stipulation that it remain accessible to the public.
