Jack Penate

Jack Fabian PeƱate (Born 2nd September 1984) is a British indie musician signed to XL recordings.
Jack attended Alleyn's School and spent one year at University College London studying Classics before leaving to pursue his musical career. Jack made his way up the ranks of the club and bar scene of London before recently being signed by record label XL. Jack released his first promo single in October 2006, Second Minute or Hour along with its B-Side track, Got My Favourite. Jack is currently playing gigs all over England on tour and has previously shared dates with his good friends Adele, and The Maccabees. Felix White of The Maccabees attended Alleyn's with Jack and was a part of their band at the time, Jack's Basement some of who's songs still remain in Jack's sets. Jack recently played a one-off supporting act for Amy Winehouse at the London Astoria.
Jack was one of the contributors to the Janie Jones charity cover single.
He also featured at music night Songs in the Dark run by Jeremy Warmsley
