Jacketed Vigreux condenser
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A jacketed Vigreux condenser is a Vigreux column with an added outer cooling jacket. The Vigreux column is a type of fractionating column used for fractional distillations. The condenser has many indentations in the inner glass providing a greater surface area for partitioning between the liquid and vapor and better heat transfer between coolant and vapor than a straight-walled condenser.
