Jacks (1960s Japanese band)

Jacks was a 1960s Japanese Psychedelic musical group, who released the album Vacant World in 1968.
Jacks utilized fuzz guitar and reverb and had a classic 1960s surf/Psychedelic sound. Though somewhat obscure, they were moderately successful in Japan and still maintain a large following there.
Jacks' 1968 album Vacant World, although very hard to find in America, is still in print by Toshiba EMI LTD. (TOCT-10131) in Japan.
The unrelated 1940s/1950s American musical group The Cadets (doo wop) sometimes used the pseudonym 'The Jacks' to release certain songs on their subsidiary label. The 1960s Japanese band, Jacks, did not use 'The' to start their name. The similarity of the names and their paralleled level of obscurity has lent to a considerable amount of confusion between the two groups.
