Jade Cargo International is a cargo airline based in Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Guangdong, People's Republic of China. The airline was founded in October 2004 and started international cargo flights in August 2006.

Jade Cargo International was established in October 2004 and is co-owned by Shenzhen Airlines, which has a 51% stake, Lufthansa Cargo with 25% and DEG – Deutsche Investitions Entwicklungsgesellschaft – with 24%. It started operations in March 2005 with intra-Asian services. Jade Cargo International is the first cargo airline in China with foreign ownership. It currently has 230 employees. [1]

Jade Cargo International commenced operations with its first commercial flight from Shenzhen to Amsterdam on 5 August 2006. The aircraft returned to Shenzhen and operated its first flight to Seoul the next day. Now It operates twelve flights weekly from China to Europe. The expanded network serves ten destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brescia, Leipzig, Luxembourg, Osaka, Seoul-Incheon and Stockholm.

On September 15, 2005, the airline ordered 6 Boeing 747-400ER freighter from Boeing with delivery from 2006 through January 2008. [2]
