Jaggayyapeta is a town and a nagar panchayat in Krishna district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The original name was Bethavolu which was changed to Jaggayyapeta by Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Nayudu in memory of his father Jagga Nayudu. Bethavolu is very famous for its ancient Buddhist stupa built during Satavahana period.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Jaggayyapeta is a town in Kishna District of Andhra Pradesh, India. Jaggayyapeta is now famous for its Cement industries and gold business. Jaggayypeta is an assembly constituency with 74 villages. There are about 150 temples in the town. It has one government college (S.G.S college) and two reputed schools: Little Angels Public School and Jawahar D A V Public School.
Jaggayyapeta had a population of 39,817. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Jaggayyapeta has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 60%. In Jaggayyapeta, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
