Jaghatu District

Jaghatu is a district in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, 40 km northwest of Ghazni. The population is more than 27,000 according to 2005 data, most of whom are Hazara. The district center is Sadaqat Bazaar.
Prior to administrative reform in 2005, Jaghatu was in Ghazni Province as part of Bahrami Shahid District, which was split into four districts.
Agriculture is the main source of income, and as in the whole province drought is becoming the most serious problem. Health and education services are weak.
