Anyone know where the album title comes from?

The article on Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf claims Jagged Little Pill is the biggest selling debut album of all time -
- [Bat Out of Hell] soon became the best-selling debut album of all time, and it remained so until the release of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill in 1995.
Yet this article doesn't mention it. If it is true then it deserves a mention here, but if it isn't the Bat Out of Hell article needs updating. I don't know which it is. Thryduulf 21:13, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

At the moment, Soundscan is a link that has no entry. What is it?
Someone should explain what this means if it is so important. Is it in the era of a particular record company? Is it a time-based era?
