Jaime Rosenthal

Jaime Rolando Rosenthal Oliva (1936, San Pedro Sula) is a Honduran politician.
Rosenthal Oliva is also the leader of one of Liberal Party of Honduras's (PLH) wings, and has been a perennial candidate for President, because of his age, Jaime Rosenthal is preparing his son Yani to run for the Presidency of Honduras in the near future.
Mr. Rosenthal has a Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from MIT and a Master's Degree from MIT Sloan School of Management. He was one of the Vice Presidents (known as Designados Presidenciales) during the Presidency of Jose Azcona Hoyo (Jan. 1986-Jan.1990) and former Honduras Congressman (Jan. 2002- Jan. 2006).
His son Yani Rosenthal is the Minister of the Presidency in the Mel Zelaya administration, his lawyer is the head of the telecommunications regulator CONATEL and his brother in law: Roberto Hidalgo (brother of his wife Mrs. Mirian Hidalgo de Rosenthal) is the Internal Auditor of Empresa Nacional Portuaria (Honduras national Port Authority).
