Jaime Zea

Jaime Zea (born Cuzco, 17 February 1970) is the Mayor of the Villa El Salvador district of Lima, Peru during the 2003-2006 period.
He participated in the christian youth community led by Eugenio Kirke and in 1979 he created the Rickchary association, one of the first youth groups of Art and Culture. He studied Administration, Sociology and Municipal Management at the Catholic University. At the age of 20 he was already neighborhood leader in the residential group 8, sector 2. In 1983 he was elected a town councillor and, together with many mothers, created the "glass of milk" committees. Since then he has held the position four times, where his main concern has been the wellbeing of mothers and children.
