James Chambers (born 20 November 1980) is an English footballer. He currently plays for Watford. He is predominantly a right-back, although he has played at centre-back, left-back and right-wing in his career.

Chambers started his career at West Bromwich Albion as a trainee, alongside his brother Adam. He signed professional terms in the summer of 1999 and made his debut in a 0-0 draw with Port Vale on 15 January 2000. He made 78 appearances in total for Baggies, with a significant number coming in the 2000-01 season.

However, with chances lessening he was allowed to move to Watford on loan in August 2004, and impressed manager Ray Lewington enough to sign him on a permanent deal for £250,000. He featured in the club's League Cup run of that year, scoring his two career goals in a single game in the 4th round 5-2 victory over Southampton.

On 12 October 2006 he joined Cardiff on a month's loan.

His twin brother Adam Chambers currently plays for League One side Leyton Orient.
