Bishop James E. Kearney was Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester from 1937 - 1966.

- Kearney Residence Hall, located on the campus of Nazareth College
- Kearney Hall, located on the campus of Saint John Fisher College
In addition, Bishop Kearney did much of the original planning that led to the foundation of McQuaid Jesuit High School.
