James Ford Robinson

James F. Robinson (also James F. Robinson and JFRobinson) is an American filmmaker. His started making short films and documentaries in Texas in 1980 for White Lion Pictograph. His first feature film, which he wrote, directed and produced was Still Breathing (1998). It starred Brendan Fraser, Joanna Going, Celeste Holm and Lou Rawls. The film was distributed theatrically in the US by October Films and internationally via Lakeshore Entertaiment, Paramount Pictures and The Walt Disney Company It received the Golden Space Needle at the Seattle Film Festival for best actor (Fraser). The film was chosen by Blockbuster Video in the US to be its first "Only at Blockbuster" exclusive release.
In 1999 Robinson pioneered a new form of media when he founded CinemaElectric, a new media entertainment company to create "PocketCinema" for mobile phones. He became known as an innovator in this arena. He left CinemaElectric in 2006 to resume his film career.
