James Lomenzo

James "JLo" LoMenzo (born January 13, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York) is a rock bassist. He currently plays in the thrash metal band Megadeth.

[edit] Past Bands & Other Works
He played bass with White Lion from 1984 to 1991, and later with Zakk Wylde's side-projects Lynyrd Skinhead, Pride & Glory for one 1994 album, and with Black Label Society until 2005 when he was replaced by bassist John DeServio. He has also performed with Ozzy Osbourne and David Lee Roth and is part of the band Hideous Sun Demons.
He was a touring bassist for Slash's Snakepit, but didn't perform on either of their albums.

As of February 10, 2006, Lomenzo was hired as bassist of thrash metal band Megadeth. He is currently recording United Abominations with Guitarist/Singer Dave Mustaine, Guitarist Glen Drover and his brother on drums, Shawn Drover.

James LoMenzo is best known for his signature Warwick Buzzard bass which he is frequently seen with live. His amplification section is dominated by Ashdown amps and cabinets. His effects pedals include Dunlop Crybaby, MXR Chorus, MXR Distortion, and Aphex Punch as well as other pedals. His live rig can be seen here. He is an endorser of RotoSound bass strings.
