James O'Neill (politician)

James O'Neill was a New Zealand politician. He served in the 1st Parliament, the 3rd Parliament, and the 4th Parliament. He represented the City of Auckland for the first term and the Northern Division (the area between Auckland and Whangarei) for the latter terms. In 1869, he left Parliament and took up a position on the Legislative Council. He was also active in provincial politics.
