James Puckle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
James Puckle (1667 - 1724) was an English inventor from London who developed what he called the Puckle Gun, a multi-shot gun mounted on a stand capable of (depending on which version) firing 9 rounds. The "Puckle Gun" is sometimes considered an ancestor of the machine gun, albeit a mechanical one.
