This is similar to how Christians anticipate the second coming of the Christ except that one specific place is named as the arrival point.
Or is the hidden Imam in the well more like the Zoroastrian saoshyant arising from Zarathushtra's seed in Lake Hamun? I'm speculating, no need to include it in the article. Seeing how so many Zoroastrian concepts found their way into Christianity and Islam (especially Shi'a), I find it interesting, and the similarities are indeed striking; but I have no sources to cite on the matter. I therefore feel no need to amend the present text. The more common comparison of Christ's second coming is going to be a more helpful reference for most people. Wish there was more information on Jamkaran though. Wasn't a highway supposed to be constructed or something for the Mahdi? Khirad 03:24, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
