[edit] Introduction
Jason Evert was educated at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he received a master's degree in theology and a minor in philosophy. Evert founded the Pure Love Club as an outreach program to teens focusing on the importance of chastity in relationships. After carrying out his ministry alone for three years, Evert teamed up with his fiancé Crystalina. After a year of giving talks together they were married in June of 2003. Evert and his wife Crystalina currently tour the country each year, speaking to 100,000 students on chastity.
[edit] Message
Evert's speeches and books all cite reasons as to why he believes chastity is a good idea. The majority of the arguments he makes are all rooted in Catholic doctrine, and have been approved by the Censor Librorum, certifying that his teachings are free of Catholic doctrinal or moral errors. Most of his arguments stem from themes of respect, pure love, and waiting for one's spouse. Evert also makes arguments for chastity that are not rooted in Catholic doctrine, but from what he deems practical, citing Human papilloma virus (HPV), other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
