Jason Mulgrew
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jason Mulgrew (born July 17, 1979), a self-proclaimed "Internet Quasi-Celebrity," is a blogger from Philadelphia who now lives in Manhattan. Mulgrew has a popular blog, located at jasonmulgrew.com, titled "Everything Is Wrong With Me: 27, Bipolar and Hungry." The popularity of his blog has led to many other media opportunities, listed below. He is a 2001 graduate of Boston College and, according to People Magazine, one of the 50 Hottest Bachelors of 2005.
The blog itself is updated three to four times a week. Mulgrew's tone, for the most part, is humorous and self-deprecating. Usual topics include drinking, masturbation, his misadventures with women, sports, and poking fun at himself, particularly his weight. Many entries feature his "Six Songs" of the day, listing the music he recommends and explaining why he enjoys each selection. He also encourages readers to attend events in the New York City and tri-state areas, including a weekend in July he and various associates dubbed "Drink Until You Shit," a pub crawl through the bars of Wildwood, N.J.
[edit] Upcoming Projects
His upcoming memoir is entitled Everything Is Wrong With Me: An American Childhood Gone Wrong and will be released by DK Publishing in the spring of 2007.
Variety Magazine reported in September of 2005 that Mulgrew's sitcom would be about a fat young man in New York City "trying to make a go of it," and would be funded by DreamWorks. On January 22 of 2007 Mulgrew annouced that the network had decided to pass on the show.
