[edit] Re: 194.80.20.10
User:Wiki alf originally blocked this IP due to vandalism. I presume you may have been editing from Maidstone Grammar School? Due to the large number of vandal editors from this IP, it is usually blocked. I had to edit from school, so I temporarily unblocked the IP whilst I edited. I reblocked the IP after and that is why my name showed up on the block log. Thanks, — FireFox • T • 17:19, 23 January 2006
- Ah, same difference or there abouts. Your IP block at Aylesford Sports College is mainly due to the spamheads at Maidstone Grammar School. I apologise on behalf of them all. The IP won't be blocked permanantly, so it's pot luck whether it's blocked or not when you try to edit from Aylesford Sports College. Thanks, — FireFox • T • 20:11, 23 January 2006
[edit] Image Tagging Image:PRO-09 IMG.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:PRO-09 IMG.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 23:17, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Darkslide.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Darkslide.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.96.252 10:37, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

I have changed some settings of the block, you should be able to edit now. --WinHunter (talk) 12:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lithium
Please do not move pages without discussion, as you did to Lithium (song). The proposal was just discussed last week and did not succeed; the Nirvana song is by far the most famous one and the Evanescence song is not yet even notable enough for its own article; it is currently just a redirect to the album, as it should be. Kafziel Talk 12:40, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Also, when you move a page, the system will automatically make the old location into a redirect to the new location. You shouldn't change that to a redirect to a disambiguation page. When you did that, hundreds of articles that linked to Lithium (song) were suddenly linking to Lithium (disambiguation), and linking to disambiguation pages is rarely a good thing. I'm going to leave the article at Lithium (Nirvana song) but I have changed the redirect back so that "Lithium (song)" redirects to "Lithium (Nirvana song)". If the Evanescence song is ever notable enough to sustain an article of its own, "Lithium (song)" can be turned into a disambiguation page (after discussion!) but then all of the Nirvana articles will need to be edited to avoid the disambiguation page.
I know it's kind of a complicated process, but it's the best way to ensure that readers find what they are looking for. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Kafziel Talk 13:05, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD Nomination: Star Wars Fanon
I've nominated the article Star Wars Fanon for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Star Wars Fanon satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Star Wars Fanon. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Star Wars Fanon during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion.
