Javier García Portillo (born March 30, 1982 in Aranjuez) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona.
In the 1994-95 season Portillo entered the Real Madrid youth structure. During seven seasons as a youth player he was a prolific scorer, breaking the goalscoring recored previously held by Raúl González.
Frustrated as his lack of first team action, Portillo went on loan to Fiorentina. The following season he was again loaned out to Club Brugge.
Yet again overlooked for a first team berth by the purchases of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Antonio Cassano, Portillo moved to Gimnàstic de Tarragona for the start of the 2006-07 season.
