Jay Witasick (born August 28, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland) is a Major League baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2nd round of the 1993 amateur draft. Witasick made his major league debut on July 7, 1996 as a member of the A's versus the California Angels. Since then Witasick has been mainly used as a mid-reliever and has played for the Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, and Colorado Rockies.
