[edit] Longhena
Book: Ca' Rezzonico by Filippo Pedrocco; published Marsilio Editori 2001
I could list several others. I am working on an article on this subject at the moment, and intend spelling it in this way. This is the way it was spelt in Italy at the time of Longhena. I have seen it spelt your way on some English internet sites, but have yet to meet an Englishman carrying this name. Todat in Italy it can be spelt both ways but more often than not still with 2S and 2R Giano 14:06, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
AFAIK The Grand Canal facade is built of marble. It is possible that the rusticated ground floor is of limestone, allthough I can find no reference to this. I would not be suprised if only the pillars and embelishments of the upper floors were of marble. However, as these constitute nearly the entire facade, I think it is safe to describe the facade as marble. I have only described the main facade as marble, the rest of the building may well be of limestone or faced brick. I don't know! Giano 14:59, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Venice photo
Hi Glen, do you still know where in Venice you made http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1c/Venice_Street_04563.JPG ? Although I know the city very well, I am currently lost. I am particularly interested in the building in the background. Cheers Jcr2 07:28, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- There is a navagation map on the barricade, but I can not make it out enough. I cannot recall where we were, having wandered through many side streets, just wandering. [User:Glenlarson| Glen]

[edit] Venezia.Net
Thanks for the heads-up. Last time I went to the article it:Venezia I don't remember seeing any of that there. Evidently that guy's been stirring the pot. Lord knows I've deleted a lot of junk links, but I can't for the life o' me see whassamatter with Venezia.Net. Opinions differ — Best, Bill 20:21, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
