I started editing Wikipedia Spring 2006, and have touched 30 - 40 maybe 100 articles. I don't know that I've done any major good, but I think trimming 20% of the fat in Connecticut was a worthwhile expenditure of effort (and a reasonable start, still needs to be split up).
On the last day of 2006 I made my 1000th edit. It is a talk page contribution, arguing for simplicity for the sake of readability. Were I to have assumed bad faith, I would have suspected that one editor wanted a complex sentence to leave readers confused about a nasty allegation. Here it is: Talk:Folke Bernadotte

I've stolen a nice template. I filled it with my stuff, then ta! da! My travels include several countries that no longer exist, plus several that have had changes in their (long form) names (and flags). Getting the right flags should be a challenge. I will keep fiddling to get them right.
