Description |
This composite shows Hurricane Jeanne approaching the western coast of Floridaon September 26, 2004 having made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane earlier that day. The background image is a true color image taken by NASA's Aqua satellite at 12:35 p.m. EDT. The foreground image is data from the NWS Tampa Bay's NEXRAD radar at the same time and was processed using the NCDC's JAVA NEXRAD tool. The images have been combined using the GIMP by Nilfanion.
