Jean-Jacques Tizié (born September 7, 1972) is an Ivorian soccer goalkeeper. He has been playing for Espérance in Tunisia since 2000. He was the first-choice goalkeeper for Ivory Coast at the World Cup 2006. Tizié has won 28 caps (as of April 2006). Before going into the world of football, he was a handball goalkeeper.
He is also known for having lost a testicle in a freak accident during a football match when a player stood on his penis and scrotum. [1]
Before moving to Espérance, he has enjoyed spells with Lazer FC, Africa Sport and Stade d'Abidjan. Tizie is known for using his feet more than his hands. He used to play midfield for Ivory Coast[citation needed].
