Jean Escarra

Jean Escarra (1885-1955), French legal scholar and professor at the Faculté de Droit de Paris. Escarra assisted the Chinese government in reforming the Chinese legal system in the 1920s and 30s and wrote a number of influential works on Chinese law and society.
