Jegunovce (Macedonian Cyrillic: Јегуновце) is one of the larger villages in the Polog Valley, Republic of Macedonia. It is located about 10mi (15km) northeast of the Macedonian city of Tetovo. It is the center of the Jegunovce municipality.
[edit] History
Jegunovce began to grow from a village to a small town after WWII, when the new Yugoslavia government, under Josip Broz Tito, began building a massive metallurgical plant, that worked mostly with chrome. The plant was named JUGOHROM, and was one of the biggest employment plants in all of Yugoslavia.
