Jen Taylor Friedman

Jen Taylor Friedman is a soferet who currently resides in New York City. She is one of five known female Jewish ritual scribes in history, working within a halachic framework. She is known for her Tefillin Barbie which has been featured in a number of prominent Jewish publications.
Friedman's current main employment is the creation of a new Sefer Torah for United Hebrew Congregation in St. Louis, MO. When this Sefer Torah is completed, Friedman will be the first woman known in history to scribe a Torah Scroll.
