Jennifer Şebnem Schaefer (her name as used in Germany, Jennifer Schäfer or, as she is more commonly known in Turkey, Şebnem Schaefer) is a German-Turkish model-actress pursuing a career based simultaneously in Germany and Turkey. She is a 5'11" brown-eyed blonde.
She was born in Frankfurt-am-Main on 9 February 1984. Her father is German and her mother Turkish. Her full name is Jennifer Şebnem Macide Simone Schaefer. She is modelling since she was fifteen, commuting between career engagements in Germany and Turkey, at the same time as pursuing her studies in Goethe University in her native city. She speaks German and Turkish natively and English at a very good level. She is also fluent in French since she studied the language at school, and even in Arabic since it was part of her courses during her initial choice of Turkology at the university. She later switched to anthropology and European ethnology which she is currently pursuing. She is an accomplished horserider and ballerina, having been trained in a ballet school for four years, and also enjoys trekking.
She modelled for several well-known Turkish brandnames, notably for the elusive Zeki Triko swimwears. She is also hosting or co-presenting TV shows, and is distiguished by her warming accent.
In 2006, representing Rheinland-Pfalz, she was elected second pageant (Vize-Miss Germany) in MGC Miss Germany contest.
She took part in the Turkish version of the show "Dancing on Ice around the world", and she came the 7th among the 10 participating celebrities. She was disappointed with that result, and she claimed that she had danced better than many of the skaters in the show. As a result, she rejected to do the final dance.
