Jennifer Crawford Glendening

Jennifer Crawford Glendening (born 1966), is the former First Lady of Maryland. She served as first lady for the last year of the administration of her husband, former Maryland Gov. Parris Glendening (D), who was governor from 1995 through 2003. She had been serving as deputy chief of staff to Governor Glendening and had an affair with him. Glendening later divorced his second wife, Frances Hughes, and married Crawford on January 25, 2002. They had a daughter, Gabrielle Mona Glendening, born August 18, 2002, making Glendening the first governor of Maryland to have a child while in office since 1879.
