Talk:Jerry Clower
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jerry denied the Ledbetters are fictional, he has said they are real people he knows.
- Ok. No problem. I was under the impression that they were fictional. Feel free to change it back. Joyous | Talk 19:46, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- On one of his recordings, Jerry says most of the stories he tells really happened and the Ledbetter characters he tells about are based on real people, but "Ledbetter" wasn't their real name. There is a picture of Jerry's graduating class in the book "Ain't God Good" and the caption says Ardel and Raynell are in the photo...so that, to me, bears out that many of the Ledbetter stories really happened.
Hope that helps...db66murray

The Ledbetters are not fictional. Marcel lives in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area where he has family and friends. I know this to be a fact since I married one of his cousins from the King family right after hurricane Katrina last year in Baker, LA. .. bh
