[edit] Biography

Jess was born in San Rafael, California, but her family moved to the Pacific Northwest shortly after the birth of her younger sister in 1969. She grew up in Lebanon, Oregon, where she lived until after graduating from Lebanon Union High School in 1985.

Jess currently lives in Easthampton, Massachusetts with her husband, Patrick, and their youngest daughter, Autumn. Their older children, Nathan and Nicole , both live on the West Coast.

Until the birth of her youngest child, Jess's writing was limited to academic papers and predominantly unpublished poetry. After her youngest child began school, however, she began writing in earnest. Her early publications included articles for educational and technical magazines, and local, regional and international cultural publications.

Jess started working with White Wolf in 2003, when she penned the Exalted novel, “In Northern Twilight”, which was a Runner-Up for Pen & Paper’s 2004 Fan Awards in the category of Best RPG-Related Novel/Anthology ^[1]. Her second novel has been on "indefinite hold" with White Wolf since March of 2005.

As The Honorable Lady Jessimond of Greencrosse, Jess is an long-time member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), where her interests include Heraldry (Book and Court), the scribal arts, felting, beading, sewing, organizing events, and general service. She has an alternate Mongolian persona, Qada'an Nachin.

Jess is also an active member of the Camarilla, White Wolf's official fan club and Live Action Role Play (LARP) group.
