Jessie Benton Frémont

Jessie Ann Benton Frémont (May 31, 1824 – December 27, 1902) is an American writer also remembered for being the daughter of U.S. Senator Thomas Hart Benton and the wife of explorer and politician John C. Frémont. Her books were memoirs of her time in the American West with her husband, back when the west was an exotic frontier.
