Jewel Quest, Part 1 is the second episode of Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders' first season.

Evil Lady Kale demands the key for the box containing magical Crown Jewels of Avalon in exchange for Sunstar, the unicorn she holds hostage.
Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders confront Kale in the dark Thornwoods castle where her throne is. The witch gets the key, but Melin saves the kingdom as makes the Crown Jewels scatter far and wide across Avalon. Sunstone is freed and friends escape Kale's fury.
Gwen completes her inauguration into the Friendship Ring, with Sunstar as her chosen partner and friend, and becomes a Jewel Rider, entrusted with the recovery of the Crown Jewels and the safety of Avalon.
