[edit] Image Copyright
Hi Jhowcs. I notice you've uploaded a number of images, and that you have released each one into the public domain by claiming to be the copyright holder. Can you just confirm that you took each photo? I'm thinking, for example, about Image:Mexico - 2.gif which you appear to have taken from space, and Image:Arenabaixada.jpg which appears to have someone else's logo on it. Please see Image use policy for more information. -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:22, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright again
Hi again. Since you haven't replied, and have continued uploading images of questionable origin, I'm starting to suspect they may all be copyright violations and will have to deleted. Please indicate in what capacity you hold the copyright in these images. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:35, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to Rio de Janeiro. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Mwanner | Talk 16:47, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Rio de Janeiro - 2.jpg
![]() |
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Rio de Janeiro - 2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell 07:33, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

- It is possible that the User doesn't understand English well (no talk edits; adding images only). This doesn't mean that the actions were acceptable. Just my thought. feydey 20:53, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

- The user has had three weeks' worth of warnings, and chooses to make no effort to communicate (notice, not a single edit to an article talk or a user talk page). I could understand if there was a language barrier, but the barrier appears to be indifference or unwillingness on the part of this editor. Thanks for the note, though. :) RadioKirk talk to me 03:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
