Jimmy Allan (cricketer)

James Moffat Allan (April 2, 1932 — April 15, 2005) was a Scottish first class cricketer. He was an allrounder who bowled slow left-arm orthodox and was a right handed batsman.

- Made his first-class debut playing for Oxford University and took figures of 7-7-0-1. Five of his maidens were bowled to Len Hutton
- Dismissed Keith Miller and Ian Craig in his opening over in a game against the Australians the following week
- A run wasn't scored against him until the 11th over of his first-class career
- Although he never scored a century for Scotland he once made 99 against the touring New Zealanders in 1965
- Took 11 for 123 in a match against Pakistan in 1971
