Sixth Studio Album (2007) |
Jimmy Eat World's sixth studio album and has no release date yet. After their tour with Green Day, Jimmy Eat World headed home to Tempe and started working on material for a sixth album. This album is to be produced by legendary producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth ). Some of the new songs mentioned by drummer Zach Lind on the Jimmy Eat World Band Blog (http://www.jimmyeatworld.com/band) are "Carry You", "Chase This Light", "Be Sensible", "Firefight", "Distraction", "Electable", "Stop", "Beautiful Is", "Dizzy", "Big Casino", and "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues". The song "Carry You" originated as a track from Jim Adkins' side project Go Big Casino. (Previous Go Big Casino songs that eventually appeared on Jimmy Eat World albums include "Hear You Me", "My Sundown", and "12.23.95".) A video has appeared on their myspace page of them in the studio.
