How can a clip be dubbed a popular video on the internet if it just occurred yesterday? Sure, it's piqued a lot of people's interest, but by next week it will be forgotten.
(And her reaction? Definitely over-the-top and unprofessional. What news reporter says "dude?")
- In addition, there's definitely some weaseling going on (emphasis mine): "Applegate's angry reaction to what appeared to be a silly stunt struck some as being out of proportion. However, many saw her reaction as fitting and in accord with standards of professionalism and decency in media. The incident became a popular video on the internet." Some? How many people? 1? 50? 1000? Many? How many people? 50 million? 5? How is this video popular? What metric is being used for it? There are no sources for its popularity. This video seems entirely non-notable. The Daily News "source" is also laughable: it's just a personal attack at Jodi Applegate, with no actual newsworthiness. - This can be toned down, I presume that the "national notariety" is not in question -- though I never heard about it, and can't find any news reports on Google besides a no longer free NY Post piece. My head is in the sand news-wise, though. Just watched the video, and some of the weasel words can be stripped out easily. Someone remove the "weasel" template after reviewing my edits, eh?
