Joe Eigo (born February 19, 1980) is a gymnast, martial artist, and stunt performer. He is the creator of Multi Level Moves, which according to Eigo’s website is “an experiment to explore the limits of the human body.” He is a member of Jackie Chan's stunt team, and also performed in the 2006 Toronto musical production of The Lord of the Rings. Eigo has received many criticisms on his Multi Level Moves from the tricking community. These criticisms mainly stem from the fact that Multi Level Moves has no characteristics that distinguish it from tricking, except that the term is owned by Joe Eigo. This is viewed in the same light as another athlete copyrighting a sport name such as basketball or hockey.
[edit] Biography
Jeffrey Joseph "Joe" Eigo grew up in Aurora in Ontario, Canada. He was introduced to gymnastics at a birthday party when he was nine, and proved to have a great deal of natural ability. Within about a year he was competing on a national level, but he gave this up after a few more years to pursue his own style. In 2001, Eigo was able to meet with Jackie Chan while he was filming The Tuxedo in Toronto, and in 2003 Eigo was made a member of the Jackie Chan stunt team.
