Joey Spector began wrestling at the age of 16 for American Championship Wrestling. He was trained under the supervision of The UK Kid, The Phantom Lords and Prince Fontenot. Debuted on March 3rd, 2001 in his first match against Lightning Jay.

Since then, Joey Spector has appeared in several wrestling promotions across Texas such as: ACW, PWI, STEW, LLM, ETW/TWE and RCW in San Antonio. TXW in Corpus Christi. CTPW/QFC and SWWF in the Austin area. FEW, TASW, WOW, HIW, GCPPW and WSW in the Houston area. XCW, PCW, ASPW, ALLW and NAWA in DFW area. He has also wrestled in California, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Georgia for NWA Wildside/Anarchy.

On September 21, 2002 Joey Spector graduated from the Texas Wrestling Academy in San Antonio, Texas trained by Rudy "Boy" Gonzales. Through the years he has recieved tutelage from Manny Fernandez (wrestler), Chavo Guerrero, and Ken Johnson. He currently wrestles on the Independent circuit in San Antonio making appearances at River City Wrestling, Texas Wrestling Entertainment, as well as others. Although it is not known if he began wrestling in tag teams, he gained most of his notoriety as a tag team specialist teaming with Darin Childs under the name "The Rock n' Roll Nightmares". While wrestling for Texas Wrestling Entertainment the Rock n' Roll Nightmares went up the ranks of the tag team division at one point earning the Tag Titles from Showtime Summers and "One Man" Mike Dell.

After his departure from TWE, Joey Spector wrestled for River City Wrestling starting out as a singles wrestler. However he was soon thrust into the tag team division again, this time with Wally Darkmon. Soon after, Joey Spector was going under the name "The 80's Sensation". Under the "80's Sensation" moniker he would again find gold in the tag team division winning the RCW tag titles from long time fan favorites The Texas Treats (Don Juan & Chris Marval). Shortly after, he became tag partners with Andy Dalton as the Hardbodies. Joey Spector has also been involved in some of the most brutal matches ever seen in RCW history. He has been involved in two (2) Lumberjack Strap matches where the fans are the lumber jacks. Spector has received welts and many cuts and bruises from this match.

Joey Spector is still developing and only time will tell what the future holds for Spector.
