Joey and the Party

"Joey and the Party" is the third episode of the first season of the television situation comedy Joey.

In an attempt to meet new people, especially cool basketball player, Jake, Joey throws a party. Michael is annoyed that his friend, Seth, whom he is inviting has a girlriend, where he (Michael) does not. Both Gina and Alex audition for the part of 'fake girlfriend', but Alex inevitably wins.
During the party, Joey and Gina both attempt to gain a friendship with Jake, much to Joey's annoyance. Gina gives Jake her number, but he throws it in the trash in full view of Joey. An angry Joey tells him that that was his sister and promptly slams the door in his face. Joey turns to an annoying man, Howard, also at the party, and despite Joey originally disliking him, the two turn into firm friends when Howard devises a game in which Joey throws garbage into a garbage bag using Howard's chest as a backboard.
Elsewhere, Michael and Alex realise that Seth's girlfriend is a fake as well and Alex uses hher lawyer skills to get a confession.
