John Griesheimer

John E. Griesheimer (born July 19, 1952 in Saint Clair, Missouri), is a Republican politician from Missouri currently sitting in the Missouri State Senate. He currently resides with his wife, Rita Maune, in Washington, Missouri. They have three children Sean, Aaron, and Michelle as well as one daughter in-law, Amanda.
He graduated from East Central College in Union, Missouri. He is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Lions Club International, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Club.
He started his political career as a member of the Washington city council (1982-1988). He then went on to the Franklin County, Missouri, commission (1989-1992), the Missouri House of Representatives (1992-2002), and the Missouri State Senate (2002-present). He is a member of the following committees:
- Economic Development, Tourism and Local Government (chair)
- Transportation (vice chair)
- Commerce, Energy and the Environment
- Ways and Means.
