The John Porter Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1 mile 4 furlongs and 5 yards (2,419 metres) at Newbury Racecourse in mid-April.
The race was first run in 1928 for three-year-olds only and has been run under its current conditions since 1949. It is named in honour of John Porter, an English racehorse trainer who trained seven Epsom Derby winners and founded Newbury Racecourse in 1905.
