John Stirratt

John Stirratt is the bassist for Wilco and the former bassist of Uncle Tupelo. He and Jeff Tweedy are the only original members of Wilco still with the band. Stirratt is also the twin brother of Laurie Stirratt, formerly of Blue Mountain. Together they released an album in 2004 titled Arabella, under the name Laurie and John. Stirratt and Pat Sansone also have another band, The Autumn Defense, who are responsible for three full-length albums, "The Green Hour" in 2000, "Circles" in 2003, and the self-titled "The Autumn Defense" in 2006. John also released albums under the Hilltops and Gimmiecaps prior to joining Uncle Tupelo.
