John T. "Til" Hazel

John T. "Til" Hazel is an attorney and real estate developer in Northern Virginia who is credited with developing several portions of Fairfax County into major commercial areas from the 1960s through the present. His boldness and forceful lobbying carried him beyond suburban development to the creation of Tysons Corner, Virginia, one of the country's first "edge cities".
In addition to his commercial endeavors, Hazel is also a founder of the Virginia Business-Higher Education Council, an organization promoting cooperation between industry and universities in Virginia. He is also a vice chairman of the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC.
