[edit] Accuracy question
I removed an accuracy question originally from User:Tasmania7025 from the text of the article. But, here it is: Regarding Sartain is a pioneer of mezzotints in the US:
- (Untrue? - From 1769, Charles Willson Peale was selling mezzotints of his work 'Mr. Pitt' throughout the 13 states )
For the record, I see nothing in the Wikipedia page for Charles Willson Peale about mezzotints or even engraving for that matter. Even so, the use of the word "pioneer" does not necessarily mean "originator." Does anyone know more? Midnightdreary 04:36, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
