No, not a scholar of local history. More of an aficionado maybe, or maybe just an old Texan. But anyway, yes I'd be happy to look at any other articles, just let me know which ones. (And as far as “having this thing down”, one of my previous lives was as a proofreader and copy-edtor for a weekly newspaper.)
The handbook template is extremely useful. I wasn't involved in its creation, but I do use it a lot.

I edited the tpl reference above; I've been changing all {{handbookoftexas}} to {{Handbook of Texas}} (or at least ones that show as redirects on the real template's "What links here" page). This is the next to last... --studerby 03:13, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Beer cat
It has been suggested by User:BrianSmithson and supported by User:Syrthiss that the Beer and brewery categories should be renamed. This proposal has been supported and expanded by myself. The notion is that the regional categories should follow the format of "Beer and breweries in Africa" /Europe/Asia/North America/South America/Oceania. "Brewers and breweries" could also be renamed "Beer and breweries by region". And all the countries should also be renamed (and merged if needed) as, for example, "Beer and breweries of Germany", "Beer and breweries of Britain", "Beer and breweries of Poland". The word in each case would be beer rather than beers to allow for general articles on beer culture in each region as well as individual beers.

Hi, i have been compiling a similar article, and then found yours at the last minute (was searching under river grading, but no matter). Anyway, I've decided to combine the two to share details make a more encyclopedic version (written instead of just lists). - You'll find plenty of my posts in there if you bother to look. If you want to discuss edit policy, talk to hbdragon88 and clw, they seem to need some brushing up on it. Removing a properly-cited majority of an article, alternately claiming that it's not cited or not needed is not a constructive edit. Jordanmills 23:24, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- You call the majority of your last revision properly sourced? The bulk of the "Notable incidents" section offers no citations whatsoever, one incident has a single source which is only accessible by registered members of OffTopic.com and the "Offtopic & Wikipedia" section obviously does nothing more than accusing Wikipedia of actually enforcing its own policies.
